Our Mission
Concerns of Police Survivors, Inc. (C.O.P.S.) provides resources to assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving families and affected co-workers of law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty as determined by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Public Safety Officers' Benefit (PSOB), National Law Enforcement Officers' Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) or Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) criteria. Furthermore, C.O.P.S. provides training to law enforcement agencies on survivor victimization issues and educates the public of the need to support the law enforcement profession and its survivors.

While Jacksonville Fire Fighters have always given back to the community they serve, they began to find themselves not being able to move freely through the charity world without their own 501(C)3 certificate.

So with the urge to give even more, and armed with their new 501(C)3 certificate, the Jacksonville Association of Fire Fighters launched the Jacksonville Fire Fighter Charities in August of 2009.

Our first donation was to the Wounded Warrior Project for $5,000 on September 11th, 2009. Then it was off to the races for the new charity. Followed by several big donations powered by their annual "Fill the Boot" drive for Jerry's kids, the fire fighters donated another $160,000 to local charities by year's end.
